Civic Square was founded by David Agnew and Lela Agnew, a husband and wife team with an extraordinary background in creating partnerships between the corporate, government, and non-profit worlds.

Prior to founding Civic Square, David Agnew (BIO) was a Principal in the real estate firm Civitas, LLC, Executive Assistant to Charleston, S.C. Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr., Special Assistant to U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich, and Senior Management Consultant at Price Waterhouse.

Prior to founding Civic Square, Lela Agnew (BIO) served as Executive Director of Water Missions International, Founder and President of the Peacewords Foundation, Senior Executive at Access International, and Executive Director of Youth Service Charleston.
